Gazprom said that this is the first phase of the implementation of the eastern gas supply system trunk construction project. In 2024, the construction of the Belogorsk-Khabarovsk section of the pipeline with a length of more than 800 kilometers will be started first.

The Eastern Gas Supply System is designed to fully develop the gas transmission capacity of the eastern regions of Russia and further connect it with the gas infrastructure of the western regions of Russia, ensuring a more reliable and diversified gas supply for Russian domestic consumers.
