神华新街能源有限责任公司官网显示，该公司主要负责新街台格庙矿区的开发建设，该矿区是国务院批准的国家重点项目，是国家发改委批准的和谐矿区建设试点单位，是国家能源集团军民融合煤化工项目的原料煤基地。矿区位于鄂尔多斯市境内，是晋陕蒙煤炭核心区唯一尚未开发的大型整装煤田，总面积800.26平方公里，资源储量约152.69亿吨（不含后备区为142.53亿吨），煤层赋存条件较好，煤质优良，可采煤层15层，共划分为8个井田和1个后备区，建设总规模5600—7200万吨/年，具备建设现代化大型煤炭基地的条件。

但根据今年6月份内蒙古能源局称国家发改委批复的《内蒙古新街矿区总体规划(修编)》，新街煤炭矿区位于鄂尔多斯市境内，东胜煤田南部，属于国家大型煤炭基地神东煤炭基地的骨干矿区，也是蒙西(内蒙古西部)地区煤炭产能接续的主力矿区。

新街煤炭矿区总规模5900万吨/年，规划7个矿井，最大规模1300万吨/年，最小规模400万吨/年，其中3处为新建矿井，均为井工开采，总规模2000万吨/年。

Located in Ordos City, the mine is the only undeveloped large-scale integrated coal field in the Jinshaan-Mongolian coal core area, with a total area of 800.26 square kilometers and reserves of about 15.269 billion tons (excluding the reserve area of 14.253 billion tons). The coal seam occurrence conditions are good, the coal quality is excellent, and 15 layers of recoverable coal seams are divided into 8 well fields and 1 reserve area. The total scale of construction is 56-72 million tons/year, which has the conditions for building a modern large-scale coal base.

However, according to the "Inner Mongolia Xinjie Mining Area Master Plan (Revised)" approved by the Inner Mongolia Energy Bureau in June this year, the Xinjie coal mining area is located in Ordos City, south of Dongsheng coal field, which belongs to the backbone mining area of the national large-scale coal base Shendong Coal base, and is also the main mining area of the coal production capacity of Mengxi (western Inner Mongolia).

The total scale of Xinjie coal mining area is 59 million tons/year, and 7 mines are planned, the largest scale is 13 million tons/year, the minimum scale is 4 million tons/year, of which 3 are new mines, all of which are mined by Wells, and the total scale is 20 million tons/year.
