据悉，双江口水电站是大渡河流域水电梯级开发的上游控制性水库工程，电站大坝为砾石土心墙堆石坝，高315米，是同类型坝体中的世界第一高坝。电站建成后可调节库容19.17亿立方米，可调蓄增加下游大渡河24个梯级电站枯水年枯期平均出力191.4万千瓦、枯期电量约66.78亿千瓦时，每年可节约标准煤约296万吨，减少碳排放总量718万吨，对改善四川电力系统电源结构、提高流域城镇防洪标准具有重要意义。

水电基础局承担的帷幕灌浆工程是电站工程整体的重要组成部分，施工内容主要包括左岸坝肩基础及地下厂房、河床及右岸坝肩基础的帷幕灌浆，左右岸各层坝肩灌浆平洞、地下厂房灌浆平洞、左岸坝肩岸坡廊道，河床廊道和右岸2390米高程以下岸坡廊道底板的固结灌浆和排水孔施工，设计灌浆施工总量约为41.11万米。

It is reported that the Shuangjiangkou hydropower Station is the upstream control reservoir project of the hydropower cascade development in the Dadu River basin. The dam of the power station is the gravel earth core rockfill dam, which is 315 meters high and is the world's highest dam of the same type. After the completion of the power station, the storage capacity can be adjusted to 1.917 billion cubic meters, and the average output of the 24 cascade power stations on the downstream Dadu River can be increased to 1.914 million kilowatts during the dry season, and the electricity during the dry season can be about 6.678 billion KWH, saving about 2.96 million tons of standard coal per year and reducing the total carbon emission by 7.18 million tons. It is of great significance to improve the power supply structure of Sichuan power system and raise the flood control standard of towns in the basin.

Curtain grouting project undertaken by Hydropower Foundation Bureau is an important part of the whole power station project. The construction contents mainly include curtain grouting of the left bank abutment foundation and underground powerhouse, the riverbed and the right bank abutment foundation, the left and right bank abutment flat hole, the underground powerhouse flat hole, and the left bank abutment slope gallery. The consolidation grouting and drainage hole construction of the riverbed gallery and the bank slope gallery floor below 2390 meters of elevation on the right bank, the total design grouting construction is about 41.11 million meters.
