It is reported that the imported 601 heat-resistant steel has good heat resistance and oxidation resistance, mainly used for the production of sintering furnaces, Muffle furnaces and other electric heating equipment, the performance is far better than the domestic 310S heat-resistant steel, but the price is 8 times the latter. This time, the project team used underwater explosion technology, successfully combined the 2mm thick 601 heat-resistant steel with 4mm thick 310S heat-resistant steel, not only reducing the use of expensive 601 heat-resistant steel, the cost was reduced by 50%, and the resulting composite material was similar to 601 heat-resistant steel in performance.

It is worth noting that the traditional air explosion composite and rolling technology is difficult to meet the processing needs of this special composite material. When the thickness of the cladding plate is less than 2mm, the explosive composite in the air often encounters problems such as the fracture of the cladding plate, surface ablation and the reduction of the binding rate. In contrast, the underwater explosion composite technology shows significant advantages in this type of sheet composite, which can achieve the thinnest composite thickness of 0.1mm, and the process is more stable and reliable, in addition to significantly reducing noise and pollutant emissions.
