2024年10月15日，中国环境监测总站联合中央气象台、国家大气污染防治攻关联合中心、东北、华南、西南、西北、长三角区域空气质量预测预报中心和北京市生态环境监测中心，开展10月下半月（10月16日—31日）全国空气质量预报会商。

10月下半月，京津冀及周边区域北部、长三角、东北、华南、西南区域空气质量以优良为主，局地部分时段可能出现轻度污染，其他地区以良至轻度污染为主。其中，京津冀及周边区域中南部、山西局地、辽宁中西部、陕西关中地区部分时段可能出现中度污染，河南中北部部分城市16日可能出现重度污染。受沙尘天气影响，新疆东部及南部可能出现中度及以上污染。

On October 15, 2024, the China General Environmental Monitoring Station, together with the National Meteorological Observatory, the National Joint Center for Air Pollution Prevention and Control, the Northeast, South China, Southwest, Northwest, Yangtze River Delta Regional Air Quality Prediction and Forecast Center and the Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, held a national air quality forecast conference in the second half of October (October 16-31).

In the second half of October, the air quality in the northern part of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and its surrounding areas, the Yangtze River Delta, Northeast China, South China and Southwest regions is mainly good, and some local times may have light pollution, and other areas are mainly good to light pollution. Among them, the central and southern parts of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and its surrounding areas, the local areas of Shanxi, the central and western parts of Liaoning, and the Guanzhong region of Shaanxi may experience moderate pollution during some hours, and some cities in the central and northern parts of Henan may experience heavy pollution on the 16th. Affected by the dust weather, the eastern and southern parts of Xinjiang may have moderate or above pollution.
