8月14日，核工业西南物理研究院（以下简称“西物院”）党委书记刘叶一行到访中国核电，双方围绕未来能源布局、战新产业培育、整体协同发展等方面开展深入交流。中国核电党委书记、董事长卢铁忠出席并主持会议。

刘叶对中国核电长期以来给予西物院的支持表示感谢。他指出，聚变是解决人类社会能源问题和环境问题的根本途径。当前全球可控核聚变技术已取得多项突破，三大技术难题将逐步得到解决。我国核聚变研究处于国际第一方阵，西物院是我国成立最早、从事核聚变能源开发利用的专业研究院，是中国受控核聚变研究发源地。目前，可控核聚变能开发工程可行性和经济性均已得到初步验证，由科学研究逐步迈向工程化、商业化阶段，并进入快速发展的战略机遇期，西物院将积极响应国家能源与环境重大战略需求，抢占核聚变发展的制高点，希望后续与中国核电进一步加强整体协同，深化在可控核聚变领域的合作。

卢铁忠表示，可控核聚变技术是全球科技竞争的主赛道，也是实现中华民族伟大复兴的重要科技力量。中核集团拥有全球领先、成熟且完善的核工业创新链和产业链，是国际上少数能够解决聚变核工程挑战、支撑聚变工程化快速推进的企业。中国核电将坚决贯彻落实核能“三步走”战略，积极布局未来产业，协同西物院建立深化合作机制，开展中间技术孵化和科技成果转化，共同推动我国核能产业高质量发展。

At present, the global controllable nuclear fusion technology has made a number of breakthroughs, and the three major technical problems will be gradually solved. China's nuclear fusion research is the first phalanx in the world, and the West Institute of Physics is the earliest professional research institute engaged in the development and utilization of nuclear fusion energy in China, and the birthplace of controlled nuclear fusion research in China. At present, the feasibility and economy of controllable nuclear fusion energy development project have been preliminarily verified, gradually moving from scientific research to engineering and commercialization stage, and entering a period of strategic opportunities for rapid development. West Institute of Science and Technology will actively respond to the major strategic needs of national energy and environment, seize the commanding heights of nuclear fusion development, and hope to further strengthen the overall collaboration with China's nuclear power in the future. Deepen cooperation in the field of controlled nuclear fusion.

Lu Tiezhong said that controlled nuclear fusion technology is the main track of global scientific and technological competition, and also an important scientific and technological force to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
