分析我国天然气市场发展现状与特点，有助于制定科学的发展策略与规划。美国、日本、英国和韩国等世界主要发达国家的天然气市场发展都经历了3个阶段：启动期、发展期和成熟期。一方面，我国天然气市场的发展既有与上述国家同一发展期相同的特征：①天然气市场由启动期步入发展期均依靠国内天然气资源的推动；②天然气管网设施是市场快速发展的基础；③天然气发展得到了政府和石油公司的高度重视。另一方面，我国天然气市场发展也存在与上述国家同一发展期所不同的地方：①目前我国天然气市场发展所处的外部环境与上述各国当年市场发展期所处的外部环境有较大差异；②我国天然气市场发展面临高气价的压力；③天然气在我国能源发展战略中的战略地位需进一步提升。目前我国天然气市场的特点主要体现为：①天然气需求进入快速发展期，市场向东部沿海地区扩展；②多气源供应格局正在形成，全国天然气管网基础设施逐步完善。结论认为：现阶段或未来很长一段时间内，要推进中国低碳经济的进程应加快发展可再生能源，而扩大天然气利用规模、最大限度地增加这种清洁能源在我国一次能源消耗结构中的比例则是目前最切实可行的策略。
An analysis of present situation and characteristics of natural gas market development plays an important role in energy planning and strategy in China. In those major developed countries like the U.S.A., Japan, Britain, and South Korea, natural gas market has experienced the setup, developing, and mature stages. Compared with those abovementioned countries, China has these similarities in natural gas market development: (1)the domestic natural gas resources is the motive for the natural gas market to step into the developing stage from the setup stage; (2)natural gas pipeline facilities are the foundation for the rapid development of natural gas market; and (3)natural gas development wins support from the government and oil companies. Meanwhile, it has these differences: (1)the domestic natural gas market is developing under current global situation, which is totally different from that for those developed countries; (2)the development of domestic natural gas market is under a high pressure of high gas prices; (3)gas power generation will not be the main trend of natural gas utilization at present and in near future; and (4)the strategic position of natural gas as an energy resources is to be promoted. The present status of domestic natural gas market is featured by the following aspects: (1)With the rapid increasing demand of natural gas, the domestic gas market is expanded to the coastline regions of East China. (2)The gas supply by multiple gas sources is taking its shape and national pipeline infrastructure is gradually completed. In summary, in order to promote the process of low carbon economy development in China at present or in near future, the renewable energy resources should be developed rapidly, and it is one of the most practical and feasible energy strategies at present that natural gas should be encouraged to be utilized in more ways and on a large scale and the proportion of natural gas in the primary energy consumption should be increased to the maximum degree.
