4月24日，从山西省能源局获悉，今年前3个月这个省煤层气总产量达30.7亿立方米，同比增加11.8%，约占全国同期产量的80.8%。

煤层气，俗称“瓦斯”。它是煤炭开采中危险的“杀手”，同时也是热值高于通用煤1至4倍、燃烧几乎不产生任何废气、世界各国争相开发利用的清洁能源和战略资源。

在山西焦煤华晋焦煤电力分公司，36台瓦斯发电机组将高瓦斯矿井沙曲一矿、沙曲二矿井下抽采的煤层气利用，基本实现无排放、无污染。2023年，该公司共利用瓦斯1亿多立方米、发电超3亿千瓦时，减排二氧化碳当量近200万吨。

山西省能源局油气处处长康义表示，近年来山西省煤层气增储上产成效明显，2023年全省煤层气产量较2015年增长249%；建成潘庄、郑庄等六个10亿立方米级气田，建成保德区块全国首个中低阶煤煤层气开发示范区，成为全国煤层气开发最成熟的地区之一，推进能源低碳转型取得重要成效。

山西是我国煤层气资源富集程度高、开发潜力大的省份。《山西省煤层气资源勘查开发规划（2021-2025年）》显示，山西省埋深2000米以浅的煤层气预测资源量约8.31万亿立方米，占全国近1/3。

In Huajin Coking Coal Power Company of Shanxi Coking Coal, 36 gas generator sets have utilized coalbed methane extracted from Shaqu No. 1 and Shaqu No. 2 Coal mines in high-gas mines, basically realizing no emission and no pollution. In 2023, the company will use more than 100 million cubic meters of gas, generate more than 300 million KWH of electricity, and reduce carbon dioxide equivalent by nearly 2 million tons.

Kang Yi, director of the Oil and Gas Department of Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau, said that in recent years, Shanxi Province has achieved remarkable results in increasing coal bed gas storage and production. In 2023, the province's coal bed gas production increased 249% compared with 2015. Six gas fields of 1 billion cubic meters, including Panzhuang and Zhengzhuang, have been completed, and the Bade Block has been built into the country's first demonstration zone for the development of medium and low rank coal bed methane, becoming one of the most mature regions in the country for the development of coal bed methane, and important results have been achieved in promoting low-carbon energy transformation.

Shanxi is a province with high enrichment degree of CBM resources and great development potential. According to the Plan for Exploration and Development of Coal Bed Methane Resources in Shanxi Province (2021-2025), the estimated coal bed methane resources buried at a shallow depth of 2,000 meters in Shanxi Province is about 8.31 trillion cubic meters, accounting for nearly 1/3 of the country.
