金川水电站位于四川省阿坝藏族羌族自治州金川县、马尔康市境内，是四川省重点能源项目，总装机容量860兆瓦，安装4台215兆瓦混流式水轮发电机组。座环是机组埋件的核心，是机组过流部件的重要组成部分，和混凝土结构一起支撑发电机、水轮机等重要部件，也是机电设备中的第一个安装大件。金川水电站工程机组座环采用工厂化模式在厂外加工再进行现场组装、调整和焊接，组装后总高度4.2米，最大外径10.685米，整体重量107吨，分为2瓣，分瓣件在安装间封焊。
