据了解,华能石岛湾核电站是国内首个汇聚第三代、第四代自主核电技术的核电基地。华能石岛湾高温气冷堆核电站示范工程是我国具有完全自主知识产权的国家科技重大专项标志性成果,目前在运一座高温气冷堆示范工程,并于2023年12月6日正式投入商运;规划建设4台百万千瓦级大型压水堆扩建工程,装机容量480万千瓦。该工程具有固有安全性、出口温度高、环境友好性、模块化设计等优良性能,能广泛应用于热电联产、稠油热采、高温制氢、化工冶金等领域,商业化应用前景广阔。

本次开工的扩建一期工程是继去年底全球首座第四代核电站投入商业运营后的又一个“重量级”项目。扩建工程采用第三代核电技术“华龙一号”,单机容量120万千瓦,是我国核电科技自主创新标志性成果。一期单台机组建设周期60个月,两台机组间隔10个月,计划分别于2029年7月和2030年5月建成投产。同时按照单台机组380MW的供热能力,推动核电机组热电联产同步设计、同步建设、同步运行。项目建成后,年发电量将超过200亿千瓦时,供热面积近2000万平方米,惠及60万人口,为山东半岛地区提供清洁低碳、安全高效的电力和热能供应。

同时,压水堆扩建工程将与高温气冷堆核电站示范工程形成“大核能”基地效应,在核电建设运维、核电装备制造,以及核能综合利用上持续扩大原创技术策源地和产业链链主优势,加速形成新质生产力,带动三代、四代核能全产业链在威海聚集发展。

The first phase of the expansion project is another "heavyweight" project after the world's first fourth-generation nuclear power plant was put into commercial operation at the end of last year. The expansion project adopts the third-generation nuclear power technology "Hualong One", with a single capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts, which is a landmark achievement of China's independent innovation in nuclear power science and technology. The construction cycle of a single unit of the first phase is 60 months, and the two units are separated by 10 months, which is planned to be completed and put into operation in July 2029 and May 2030 respectively. At the same time, according to the heating capacity of a single unit of 380MW, the synchronous design, construction and operation of cogeneration of nuclear power units are promoted. After the completion of the project, the annual power generation will exceed 20 billion KWH, heating area of nearly 20 million square meters, benefit 600,000 people, and provide clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient power and heat supply for the Shandong Peninsula region.

At the same time, the pressurized water reactor expansion project will form a "big nuclear energy" base effect with the high temperature gas cooled reactor nuclear power plant demonstration project, continue to expand the original technology source and industrial chain main advantages in nuclear power construction, operation and maintenance, nuclear power equipment manufacturing, and comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy, accelerate the formation of new quality productivity, and drive the third and fourth generation of nuclear energy industry chain to gather and develop in Weihai.
