莆田海事部门高度重视此次港口大型船舶当日“两离一靠”保障工作，主动作为，周密部署各项安全监管工作。严格落实航前会议制度。第一时间告知船舶、代理等单位落实严格“一船一评估、一船一会商、一船一方案”的管理要求，组织码头、代理、渔政、引航、拖轮等相关方召开航前会议，从船舶尺度、气象条件、安全距离三方面系统梳理超大型船舶进出港水域的安全条件并提出针对性的解决措施，明确分工，强化协调配合，确保船舶进出港工作顺利开展。靠泊期间，强化现场监管，综合运用电子巡查、船艇巡航、无人机巡查立体协同监管模式为两船舶提供全方位、全要素、多维感知的监管保障，重点加强对主航道、码头、前沿水域的远程监控，确保航行水域清爽。在船舶靠泊过程中，船舶作业期间，通过CCTV系统远程监控船舶作业安全和船岸安全落实情况，及时排查安全隐患，确保船舶装卸货作业安全。
