长庆油田所在的鄂尔多斯盆地，储藏着国际上典型的“三低”（低渗、低压、低丰度）油气资源，致密程度堪比“磨刀石”，勘探开发之难世界罕见。开发建设五十多年来，几代长庆石油人深耕陇原大地、挺进陕北高原，鏖战贺兰山、勇闯毛乌素，探索形成了独具特色的勘探开发技术系列，把“没有经济开采价值的边际油田”建成我国目前产量最高的大油气田。

长庆油田勘探事业部总地质师张涛介绍说：“我们从低渗透起步，突破特低渗、再战超低渗、解放致密气、攻坚页岩油，油气勘探开发不断向更深层系转移，目前已成功发现50个油气田，成为我国油气能源增储上产的重要增长极。”

近十年来，我国经济快速发展对油气资源的需求“水涨船高”，长庆油田加大油气勘探开发力度，推进页岩油、致密气等非常规油气资源规模化开发。

The Ordos Basin, where Changqing oilfield is located, reserves the typical "three low" (low permeability, low pressure, low abundance) oil and gas resources in the world, the tightness is comparable to the "whetstone", and the exploration and development is rare in the world. For more than 50 years of development and construction, several generations of Changqing oilmen have cultivated the Longyuan land, advanced into the northern Shaanxi Plateau, battled Helan Mountain and bravely rushed into Mu Us, explored and formed a unique series of exploration and development technologies, and built the "marginal oil field with no economic exploitation value" into the largest oil and gas field with the highest output in China.

Zhang Tao, chief geologist of Changqing Oilfield Exploration Division, said: "We started from low permeability, broke through ultra-low permeability, fought ultra-low permeability, liberated tight gas, and attacked shale oil, oil and gas exploration and development continue to transfer to deeper layers, and have successfully discovered 50 oil and gas fields, becoming an important growth pole for China's oil and gas energy storage and production."

In the past ten years, China's rapid economic development has increased the demand for oil and gas resources, and Changqing Oilfield has increased its oil and gas exploration and development efforts to promote the large-scale development of unconventional oil and gas resources such as shale oil and tight gas.
